Tips to becoming dependent on the Word and developing a biblical mindset:

  1. Start praying and reading at the same time

  2. Read something from the Bible every day

  3. Trust that what you are reading is good and can effect change 

  4. Read through the Bible at least once in your life if not more

  5. Begin using extra biblical resources for study

  6. Keep reading and praying

  7. Purchase a study bible or commentary

  8. Expect more out of yourself 

  9. Read and pray and don’t stop

Steps to Exegetical study:

  1. Find the text you want to study 

  2. Examine the literary context 

  3. Examine the historical context 

  4. Establish the meaning

  5. Determine the theological principle 

  6. How do I apply this?
