  4. Read through the Bible at least once in your life if not more

  5. Begin using extra biblical resources for study

  6. Keep reading and praying

  7. Purchase a study bible or commentary

  8. Expect more out of yourself 

  9. Read and pray and don’t stop

Steps to Exegetical study:

  1. Find the text you want to study 

  2. Examine the literary context 

  3. Examine the historical context 

  4. Establish the meaning

  5. Determine the theological principle 

  6. How do I apply this?
